Cheap car stereos can be very appealing, especially when you are trying to buy on a budget. However, cheap car stereos do have caution signs that can go along with the price tag. Here are some things to consider when looking at cheap car stereos.

Usually cheap car stereos are made with low quality materials. The low quality materials make cheap car stereos not very durable and allow them to easily be damaged. This can be a problem as buttons and other parts of the cheap car stereo will start to break not long after you buy the product. Also due to the low quality of the car stereo, your CD can easily skip if you encounter bumps in the road or any other conditions that will cause the cheap car stereo to shake.
The features of cheap car stereos are usually limited. It is very hard to find a lot of great features on cheap car stereos. They are usually limited because it costs more to include technology into a product. By keeping the features at a very basic level, it allows the manufacturer to sell the product at a cheaper price.
Cheap car stereos usually do not have a very good input and output capacity. Depending on how much power your cheap car stereo can handle and produce, will give you an idea on the quality of sound that it produces. The majority of the time, cheap car stereos do not produce a good quality of sound, because they cannot handle and generate a high level of power.
Overall cheap car stereos are lower in cost because they are not of good quality, have less features, and do not produce good quality sound. Usually when you buy cheap car stereos you come up with a very cheap product that fits the price tag.

I detest the myth that women never remember to change the motor oil in the car. Granted, it has been a long time since I have done so, but it is not because I have forgotten, it is because my husband always does it after I remind him. I guess it would only be fair for me to do it once in a while, but because he uses our single car most of the time, it only makes sense that he is the one that takes it in to be changed.

We are told to change the motor oil every 3000 miles in our vehicles. This is probably a good idea, but we usually go about 4000 before we do so. I have a car that is over ten years old, and it is still in amazing condition. So for us, that 4000 mile mark has worked out just fine. If it gets much over that though, I do begin to worry, and I remind my husband that it is time to take it in to get the motor oil changed. Thankfully, it only takes about fifteen minutes and is not too far out of our way.

You can take your vehicle in to many places that will change your motor oil for you rather quickly. We always do this, as we really don’t have a way, or the will for that matter, to do it on our own. This is always fast, and the cost is not too bad. They also top off other fluids in the car, and even replace some of the filters at no extra charge. Though many do this, if you don’t get these services when you go in to change your motor oil, you may want to find someone to do it. It’s definitely worth spending a few more dollars to have that done. It’s less you have to think about when considering the upkeep of your car’s engine.

If you like to change your own motor oil, you are one of a dying breed. However, those who know a lot about cars do save money if they do it on their own. You can buy your motor oil in bulk, and save even more money. You also get to choose the type of oil you would like in your car, if you have a preference. Most don’t, but those who know cars may like one brand over another. When you do your own, the choice is up to you.
