			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There is an increasing tendency in men to seek easy methods for achieving and maintaining erection and in women to find remedies that will turn them on. There may be physical, psychological or medical causes for impotence in men and loss of libido in women. The best way to address the problem is to find out the main cause and then solve the problem accordingly.</p>
<p>Of late, people are using drugs like sildenafil citrate (Viagra), verdenafil hydrochloride (Levitra) and tadalafil (Cialis) for the purpose. But these have several possible side effects, like headaches, strokes, cancer and even death.  Therefore, there is a need to look elsewhere for alternatives in order to have a great sexual experience. Certain foods and herbs can actually work quite well for improving libido, without causing harmful side effects.<br />

Yohimbe is one of them. It is the bark of a tree found in West Africa. Yohimbe is found to increase blood circulation to the male genitals thereby helping men to achieve erection within an hour. For faster effect, Korean ginseng works well as a stimulant. It has to be used immediately before sex. There are claims that Korean ginseng, if used regularly, increases the levels of the male hormone, testosterone, in addition to increasing the duration of erection and its maintenance. </p>
<p>Foods high in zinc are also said to help alleviate the problem of erectile dysfunction. Oats, oysters, pumpkin seeds, pine nuts and so on, which are rich in zinc, boost libido. If you include ginger and cayenne pepper in your food, you will be able to enjoy a better sexual drive and experience soon after.</p>
<p>In order not to allow any reduction in the beneficial effects of the libido herbs and foods that you take, you have to avoid libido suppressing foods and drinks like fats, carbs, fried foods, fish and chips (which contain partially hydrogenated vegetable oils or trans fats). These lower the testosterone levels in your body. In particular, avoiding alcohol is extremely essential, as excessive alcohol consumption is known to destroy sex drive. Eat more vegetables and fruits on a regular basis for a healthy sexual experience.</p>
<p>Libido herbs for women<br />
Menopausal women experience low sex drive because of low hormone levels. They can perhaps try taking soy milk or foods containing soy in limited quantities for improving their libido. As too much of soy interferes with the functioning of the thyroid, it is better to limit its consumption to no more than an ounce a day. Pomegranate is also a libido fruit, the consumption of which poses no problems for women with low sex drive, as it contains oestrone, a form of estrogen. Consumption of fennel also helps, as it contains oestragole, which is like estrogen. A mineral called arginine is supposed to enhance libido in women in the post-menopause stage. Damiana is a wonder herb for increasing the sex drive in post- menopausal women. Magnesium and Vitamin E are two best promoters of libido in women. Therefore, eating avocados, rich in Vitamin E, will certainly help.</p>
<p>One word of caution, however, is that you have to consult a medical or health care professional before consuming any over-the-counter health foods, because your medical condition must permit their use.</p>

Newspapers carry information regarding the vitamins and even in the Internet has endless discussions and articles about vitamins.  The simple reason is that the vitamins are well, vital.  However, there is one important vitamin that we will discuss here that is available in abundance through carrots, beta-carotene and vitamin A.<br />

<strong>Vitamin A</strong><br />
This is one of the essential vitamins.  Vitamin A and Beta-carotene are typically very easily confused.  However, it’s easier to remember that beta-carotene is the precursor of vitamin A. Vitamin A plays very important role in the immune system and overall health of a person. It also has antioxidant properties that can help to neutralize the free radicals that cause harm to an otherwise healthy person. These free radicals can lead to heart disease, cataracts, Alzheimer’s disease, macular degeneration and arthritis.  </p>
<p>Vitamin A is very important for the formation of the healthy skin. Besides that the vitamin A is also essential for the health of the mucous membrane. The health of the mucous membrane is directly related to the health of the kidney, bladder, digestive tract, eyes, lungs, and reproductive system. The vitamin A plays important role in improving the immune system of the body. Vitamin A plays a very important role in maintaining healthy eyes and vision.     </p>
<p><strong>Vitamin A deficiency</strong><br />
The most well known symptom of a vitamin A deficiency is improper or impaired vision. The eyes can become dry and the vision will not be clear or will be blurry.  This kind of deficiency can also lead to many different types of skin diseases such as psoriasis, or acme. Any of these deficiency related problems can typically be corrected by taking vitamin A supplements.  However, a health care professional should always be consulted before making major changes in diet, including the addition of supplemental vitamins</p>
<p>The vitamin A is found abundantly in many everyday foods such as eggs, vegetables, fruits, and halibut.  Fruits such as mangoes, apricot, nectarines, watermelon, and plums are rich in vitamin A and vegetables such as carrots, tomatoes, potato, red pepper, peas, lettuce, chicory, broccoli, collard greens, turnips, squash and pumpkins are also good source of vitamin A.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Camping should be a fun activity, but if you take the wrong type of food or you run out, it’s not going to be as much fun as it should be. I have been camping many times and it seems that we always ran out of camping food or we had forgotten to take something with us. Luckily for us, we never were far from a store. Some, however, are not that lucky. Thinking about the food and what you need before you buy are good ideas and can save you a lot of trouble.</p>
<p>The first year we went camping I took all of the wrong things, or perhaps I should say they were the right things used in the wrong order. We went for three days, and I took hamburger patties with us as part of our camping food. We should have used them up the first day or two, but we saved them for the third night. That was not smart. Our cooler was not as good as it should have been, and the hamburger wasn’t looking too good. We decided not to eat it. Had we been further from civilization, we would not have had dinner that night.</p>
<p>The next year I thought I did better with the <a href="http://www.sportelite.org/about/">camping</a> food, but I forgot butter. Sometimes you don’t realize how important things like butter, ketchup, and mustard are until you have forgotten them. I went to the camp store to get more, but they, like most camping supply stores, charge a lot for their camping food. I had to pay two dollars for a single stick of butter. I was not happy about it, but at least I finally had my butter.</p>
<p>Though perishable camping food items are okay, only have them for the first few nights unless you have refrigeration. They do okay in really nice coolers for a day or two, but after that, they are probably not going to be any good. You should make sure you take a lot of things that can last without the cooler or the refrigerator when you are thinking about your camping food. On top of that, you should take more than you think you need. You may have to share with someone unexpectedly, or you may have forgotten something and you will be short. Having a back up supply is a mighty good idea when camping far from civilization.</p>

<p>•	Drink plenty of good, filtered or bottled water each day. It’s cheaper long-term to install a water filter in your kitchen than to keep buying bottled water. So check into it! Also, drink water with meals instead of sugary drinks so that you can taste the food better and not fill up on soda instead.<br />

<p>•	Buddy up and find a friend or neighbor or your mate to get healthier with together. Take turns cooking or team up and learn to prepare healthier meals together. </p>
<p>•	Eat plenty of protein and a variety of protein. Protein isn’t just beef. Try different kinds of nuts, add in eggs, chicken, fish, etc.</p>
<p>•	Experiment with plenty of different recipes on a regular basis. Eating the same old, same old gets boring and invites unhealthy snacking and meals. Search for recipes online and cookbooks at local bookstores, the library and online at Amazon.com and eBay.com.</p>
<p>•	Try baking on a cookie sheet instead of pan frying your foods. And instead of grease, line the sheets with aluminum foil for easy cleanup, then spray with cooking spray.</p>
<p>•	Experiment with low-fat and no-fat dips and salad dressings to liven up your veggies – both raw and cooked.</p>
<p>•	Brush your teeth after each meal and snack. This helps cut down on what you eat in between, because you’ll want to keep that clean, fresh feeling in your mouth and you won’t want to go brush your teeth again so soon.</p>

It may be easier to pull a bag of chips out of the cupboard than to slice and dice some fresh fruits or vegetables, but the potato chips are going to do nothing for your health. Many people do not really realize how many healthy snack options are available to them, because chips and crackers just seem so much easier. Next time you are at the supermarket, prepare to stock your kitchen with some of these healthy snack choices instead, and your body will surely thank you!<br />

Pre-Cut and Pre-Washed Fruits and Vegetables: Many supermarkets offer vegetables and fruits which have already been washed and cut up, and which are typically suspended in water to keep them fresh. Not only are these fruits and vegetables a healthy snack option, they are quick, easy and portable which makes them a great option for on-the-run snacking as well. Many fresh fruits are portable on their own, so if you decide not to opt for the pre-cut and washed stuff, grab a couple of bananas, apples or oranges, which are quick and delicious snacks which are jam packed with health benefits.</p>
<p>Cups: Many healthy snacks come in portable little cups, which you can take anywhere, or stock up in your home refrigerator. Yogurt cups come in many different sizes, and you can opt for low or non fat options for an even healthier snack, without losing any of the sweet flavors. If you do not have enough time for a yogurt cup, consider a yogurt smoothie which is available in many different brands and flavors, and makes having some yogurt a deliciously drinkable experience. Fruit is often available in pre-packaged cups as well, and though these typically have slightly higher sugar content than the fresh stuff, the portability of these little fruit cups more than makes up for it.</p>
<p>Cheese: Many companies now offer a variety of different cheeses for snacking, which typically means that they are pre-packaged to be smaller and more portable, or that the pieces are diced up for easy eating. Opt for low fat string cheese or slices for a quick but filling snack and a really nice calcium boost.</p>
<p>Fruit Drinks: There are a lot of fruit drink options out there, but not all are on equal footing when it comes to health benefits. Pass up the Gatorade for a Naked, or Odwalla, which are packed with fresh fruits and vegetables with extra nutrients added. For a boost in antioxidants, try POM Green Tea. Typically fruit drinks like your average bottled juice brand are actually fairly loaded with sugar, so go for the vitamin-packed power drinks instead. Most Naked and Odwalla juice drinks come with a serious boost of nutrients and minerals which may be just what you need after a long day, or for an early morning kick. Drinks like Gatorade and PowerAde are still popular and easily portable, but their sugar content tends to dehydrate rather than hydrate, something that you will not experience with a more natural fruit and vegetable juice.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you look in any freezer, you will probably find some type of ice cream. Even those with a very healthy eating plan have some sort of frozen treat that they can have and enjoy often. If you have ice cream, you have to have a way to get it out of the container, of course. This is why you will also find ice cream scoops in every home, though the ones people choose to get are as varied as their choice of toothbrush or laundry detergent. Having a scoop will save you from a collection of bent spoons, especially if you have children.<br />

For a while, I kept finding bent spoons in the sink, though they seemed to be clean. I was perplexed, but by the third one, I realized what was happening. My daughter was sneaking out of bed in the morning and dipping into the ice cream. Since I don’t eat it often, I had no idea and didn’t see the evidence. She had no idea what ice cream scoops are for, so she was using the spoons. She was very careful to rinse of the spoon so I wouldn’t know what it was used for, but she must not have realized I would see it was bent and wonder why that was.</p>
<p>I couldn’t really yell at her too much, as I thought it was rather genius of her (at her age) to think to get up before me, and to wash off the spoon. However, I did have a long talk with her about having ice cream in the morning, and the importance of using ice cream scoops to get the frozen stuff from the container. She has since stopped with the spoons, and always asks if she can have some before she opens the freezer. The answer isn’t always yes, but at least I know what she’s doing and I am not finding any more bent up silverware.</p>
<p>When looking for ice cream scoops, you have a lot of fun choices. Some are simple and plastic, though they don’t always work the best. Some are made of metal, and those tend to hold up better in the long run. Some ice cream scoops have a nice metal arm that helps remove the ice cream from the scoop. No matter what type you buy, remember that when the ice cream is just too hard and is sticking too much, running the scooper under a stream of hot water to heat it up will help greatly.</p>
