Southern rock, as it came to be known, was a prominent force in the 1970s and 1980s. The Allman Brothers band was at the forefront of the sound, blending blues, country music and rock together. They were always well respected for their musicianship and have won numerous awards and accolades. Despite lineup changes caused by tragedies, conflict and drug abuse, the band continues today and Allman Brothers tickets are much sought after.
